Master Kiwiiks informed the others that, according to the archives, the Force-wielder | Callef(Human)CharacterMinor Characters (TOR) | who led the Flesh Raiders | Flesh Raider ForcesOrganizationPlanetary and Sector | had never received proper Jedi training. When the Apprentice entered the chamber, Master Din greeted them and praised for defeating the leader of the raiders. Grand Master Shan entered shortly thereafter and the meeting began. Masters Din and Shan agreed that the Order | Jedi OrderOrganizationGalaxy-Wide Organizations | had underestimated the threat the Flesh Raiders | Flesh RaiderSentient Species | posed to the Order, and that they may have had other leaders. When Master Shan said that Tython was still largely unexplored, but the Order had few resources to spare, Master Din promised to handle the situation with the help of the Apprentice who he decided to take as his new Padawan, much to the Master Kiwiiks amazement, because Master Din didn't have Padawan since the Sacking of Coruscant | Sacking of CoruscantEventGreat Galactic War (3681BBY - 3653BBY) | . Master Din explained that the Apprentice was strong in the Force, stronger than he had seen in decades. Master Shan approved of his choice, and Din asked the Apprentice to go to Din's quarters, gear up and wait for him there. The Apprentice went to Din's quarters and geared up. Orgus Din walked in shortly after, complaining about the long meetings and how much he enjoyed them. The Apprentice asked him why he chose to take him as his Padawan, and Din replied that it was what the Force and his instincts told him to do. Din then gave the mission to the Apprentice. There were Twi'lek | Twi'lekSentient Species | pilgrims | Twi'lek PilgrimsOrganizationPlanetary and Sector | on Tython who fought the Flesh Raiders for months. The Republic forbade the Jedi from helping because the pilgrims settled on the planet illegally. Din wanted the apprentice to go to the mountains where the pilgrims had made their camp and learn from the Matriarch, their leader, everything the Twi'leks knew about the raiders. The Apprentice came to the village of Kalikori where the Pilgrims lived. Inside the Matriarch's building the Apprentice met with Matriarch Sumari | Sumari(Twi'lek)CharacterMinor Characters (TOR) | , her daughter Ranna Tao'Ven | Ranna Tao'Ven(Twi'lek)CharacterMinor Characters (TOR) | and Scout Chief Moorint | Moorint(Twi'lek)CharacterMinor Characters (TOR) | . The Apprentice told them that Master Din had sent them to help fight the Flesh Raiders. Matriarch Sumari reluctantly greeted the Apprentice, and, annoyed that the Order had not offered help earlier, sarcastically added that she was sure their offer of help had nothing to do with the recent attack on a Jedi outpost. The apprentice apologized, saying that the Order didn't know how great of a threat the Flesh Raider had become. Despite her grudge, she offered all the information they had on the Flesh Raiders whom they tracked for months, but only if the Order would protect the Pilgrims. She felt ill and left, leaving the Apprentice with her daughter and Moorint.Moorint lamented that since the raiders received new weapons and gear, their attacks have become much more aggressive and deadly. His scouts discovered that the raiders were encamped in a nearby valley and stored their weapons and other equipment in a cave. He told the Apprentice that the weapons and equipment were Republic standard, and he knew how to sabotage them by overloading power circuits and plasma coils, ensuring that when detonated, it would kill many raiders, depriving them of technological advantage. Ranna suggested that instead of destroying the weapons it could be captured and brought to the Pilgrims which would help them to defend themselves. They agreed that first the Apprentice needs to get to the weapons, for which the key from one of the warmasters should be acquired, and then decide what would be better - either destroy the weapon or capture it.The Apprentice went to the Upper Hollows of the Tythos Ridge, killing many Flesh Raider tech salvagers, stalkers, loreseekers, salvagers and pillagers along the way. Inside the cave, while fighting more and more Flesh Raiders, the Apprentice found the Warmaster and despite the Flesh Raider's size and brute strength, the Apprentice was able to defeat the native and claim the access key. The Apprentice opened the doors and entered the storage cavern, finding crates of technology and weapons, as well as a lone T7 astromech droid | T7-series Astromech DroidDroidOld Republic Astromech Droid classes | . The Apprentice quickly opened several crates and checked what was inside - they were full of weapons and technology that the Flesh Raiders used to kill and hunt the Pilgrims. The droid turned on and introduced himself as T7-O1 | T7-O1(T7-series Astromech Droid)CharacterDroids | , a Jedi reconnaissance droid captured by the Flesh Raiders - and asked for a rescue. The Apprentice removed the restraining bolt from the droid, and T7 explained, that he was captured while scouting the wilderness for hazards, because he was unable to detect Flesh Raider ambush with his sensors. The Apprentice asked why Flesh Raiders brought him here, and he replied that he was a very valuable advanced astromech droid and they were interested in technology. And then T7 told the Apprentice that he simulated the deactivation and recorded the Flesh Raiders' allies with his spy camera. Without delay, T7 activated the projector and showed the recordings to the Apprentice. The record showed that a person | Bengel Morr(Nautolan)CharacterSupporting Characters | clad in hooded robe tasked Callef - the man who the Apprentice had killed earlier - to teach Flesh Raiders how to use modern weapons and test their skills on the Pilgrims. Callef asked when they would attack the Jedi, and the person replied that it would be when their armies were ready. The recording ended and T7 told the Apprentice that he was ready to go. The Apprentice and T7 left the cave and headed back to Kalikori village.Back at the Matriarch's bulding, the Padawan was surprised to see that Orgus Din had also arrived at the village, but interrupted an argument between Tao'Ven, Moorint, Din, and a villager named Saylew | Saylew(Twi'lek)CharacterMinor Characters (TOR) | , whose wife had been killed during one of the earlier attacks | Early SkirmishesEventCold War (3653BBY - 3642BBY) | . When the Apprentice told Saylew about the weapons, Saylew demanded to give it to him, but the Padawan refused, saying that their leader should decide how to use the weapons. The Apprentice promised to defend the Pilgrims, but Saylew stormed off in disappointment. T7 greeted Master Din and said he was ready to deliver the report, while the Apprentice told Master Din about T7's recording and asked if he knew the droid. The Jedi Master said that T7 was one of their long-range probes, the Order sent out twenty, but this was the only one who returned. Troubled, Din took the droid to watch the recording and in the meanwhile asked his Padawan to speak with Ranna Tao'Ven.Read more... |
